Answers to Some Common Questions We've Been Asked


What makes your watermelon different than the rest?

At PMC, we check each Watermelon to ensure our reputation while keeping a fair price that matches the market price. Unfortunately, some fruit wholesalers push poor quality to keep up with the " Market Price".  We choose quality over quantity every time! Also, we do not mix other fruit with our watermelon deliveries. A watermelon should be delivered at approximately 55 degrees with proper ventilation to protect your delivery. PMC receives only the finest quality and takes proper measures to deliver your order in the same condition. 
 

Is there a minimum order for deliver and how much notice time does PMC need prior to delivery?

For delivery, our minimum order is one bin or ten boxes. Watermelons are sold in either cardboard bins weighing approximately 1000 lbs. or in boxes weighing approximately 75 lbs. One day prior notice is needed for delivery. Same day delivery may be available depending on our schedule. There is no minimum order size for pick-ups.
 

Are you open to the public?

Yes, not only are we wholesalers but retailers as well. We are open 6 days a week, Monday through Saturday from 7am to 5pm. We are only closed during the months of January and February.
 

How far will you deliver to?

We deliver to all of New York and New Jersey.
  

What other items do you sell besides Watermelon and Seasonal Flowers?

We carry a full line of Planting Soils, Pumpkins and other Halloween Decor, Christmas Items, Fall and Winter potatoes, Onions and Sweet Potatoes.
